This is a picture of her lever kanzo in july 18th 1984 with her brothers and sisters. Labelle believes in having a strong bonds with her spiritual family, some of her brother and sister are part of our sosyete.

This was LA BELLE DEESSE DEREALE first kanzo in 24 years. Initiations was not something she wanted to do because she don't like the way things turn out sometimes between a spiritual mother and child. She also felt most of the people who were initiating was doing it for the wrong reasons, their weren't doing it for the values of the spirits or to serve the spirits. She also feels money can't buy the spiritual faith and the knowledge ones must have, its something we most be born with.

For example: The 2 weeks ones must dedicate to get initiated is not and would never be enough to obtain a life time of wisdom. It all comes with being chosen, time lots of time, patience, and most of all faith. As mambos and houngans were only the middle men the main teachers are the loas they're the ones that will teach one step at a time, after we prepare

you the spirits do the rest on their own time. The longer you practice the more knowledge you'll have. That's why elders are well respected in our religion.

The sosyete of labelle deesse dereale is taking a different approach we want to help make our religion , culture and traditions grow for the better, by helping the people who wants to be initiated get initiated and have the experience of a life time.

Getting initiated is one thing having a relationship with the spirits and your society is a life time commitment it's more profound then they give it credit for! 2nd step! Once you find the sosyete that suits you, get a consultation to see if they are able to tell you what's going on in your life and what step you have to take. The first thing in the initiation path is a head cleansing, a head cleansing allows you to see clearly, the loas are able to communicate with you through your dreams and intuitions,you can feel and predict for others, you are able to do readings,it's the beginning of

you relationship with your loas they're also able to mount you as well with control ,that's if the person decide to be a houngan or a mambo, a head cleansing puts your spirits in place you'll also get to know who's the owner of you head. There's other reasons beside initiations for someone

to have a head cleanse.

The levels of initiations are :

Ounsi kanzo

Manman Rouyo : she's the one responsible for all the initiates inside

the djevo.)

Agenicon : the person responsible for all the belonging of the spirits in the temple or perestyle.

La place(flag holders) : only mambo sou point and houngan sou point can

do la place, some people can just choose to be initiated for the laplace positions.

An initiations start by being called by the spirits. Next is to find someone or a sosyete you feel from the bottom of your heart that you can belong to, allow your heart and the spirits to guide you to the best place. Believe it or not it's not every one that's capable of initiating people but they'll never tell you the truth, so it's up to the seeker to take the time required to get to know the sosyete or the ounfor you're going to get in. Be very careful there's a lot of con artist and pretenders out there.

We, the society of la belle deesse dereale believes in initiations only in Haiti we don't support it in any other place but Haiti.

The reason is because we can't replace the roots of Haiti the roots of all the spirits lay's in Haiti, all the herbs and products needed are there. There's nothing in the world that can replace the spiritual power we have in our country.

I know a lot of you are probably saying if it's so powerful why is it in such turmoil? Because we won't put our heads together like we did in 1891.
